and the infamous red and gold GT-3 '68 Z/28...it flew...a couple of long haired New York guys...that car was ahead of it's time in alotta ways...like Pizzi's Camaro on steroids.... I remember Jenkins being the first NHRA Vega at the '72 Winternationals. Were the Kimball's still running GT-1 in '71? small block vegas....which came 1st... Jenkins...or Kimball Bros. ..
as long as you kept valve spring in 351's they'd make alotta HP...too bad the Cleveland blocks were junk for the most part....

What about Scott Schafiroff's Vega? Didn't he have it before the ... the... um Ford?
I remember Scott being quoted in a SSDI article saying about the Cleveland engine to the effect, "You can make horsepower with that thing using a pair of pliers and a claw hammer."
