I remember Jenkins being the first NHRA Vega at the '72 Winternationals. Were the Kimball's still running GT-1 in '71?

What about Scott Schafiroff's Vega? Didn't he have it before the ... the... um Ford?

I remember Scott being quoted in a SSDI article saying about the Cleveland engine to the effect, "You can make horsepower with that thing using a pair of pliers and a claw hammer."
