I wondered the same thing as Ed. Also, Was this the same car? If not. What ever happened to this one? You can see that this one has the strobe style red strip. BTW I am always looking for pics of this car. If Revell every gets that 68 Hemi Dart out. I am going to build a model this car.

I don't remember. What actually caused the accident and was Ron badly injured? What happened to the wreckage? Was it stripped or rebuilt?

I'm partially to blame because I took the file name of this photo for granted that Tom Kasch had posted. The time I had spoken to Ron and I said 1977, he never corrected me, but I won't comment on Ron's state of mind based off of that convo...

It was a mistake in my notes where I had 1977 written as being Ron's last year until he started racing again (briefly) in the 1990's.

I'm sorry that you take things like this so damn seriously.
