| I bet that pic was taken at Bristol at the Footbrake Challenge. Here's the purple Cuda that's in that pic with Johnny driving it last year at Brainerd Optimist Drag Strip. The Cuda is owned by Steve Barnes but he lets Johnny drive it for him when he comes to town. I also attached a photo of the Laser I took here a couple years ago and also a photo of me posing with Johnny by his dragster. Wayne.

Going back to Johnny's car. Here it is today (on the right). He re-bodied it into a Chrysler Laser. The other Omni was a car he had built in the 80's and did not like from what I have been told. John Jr. runs it now. -Steve On Wed, Dec 2, 2009 at 4:48 PM, Steve Stasko <superpro140@ gmail.com> wrote: Since it was built, the car has only sat idle for a few years when the 2nd owner was sick (I'm the third (and final) owner). I bought it as a rolling chassis with 8.50 tags in Oct. 2007, put an engine/trans in and went racing. I'm currently building a 528" BB Chrysler for it and will have it decorated like an old P/S car next year with a square snorkel, etc.) I attached a pic Bob W. took at Quaker City earlier this year.
Matt, what are you looking for chassis wise? Probably be easier for me to mail you a disc. I looked through my stuff and found an article mentioning a stock 74-up Pinto front suspension, but I would imagine Herb modified it in some way.. I've spent countless hours trying to figure these cars out, each and every one was different from the next.

Thanks for the pics. Mine is #3 of 4, originally built for Max Naylor. Herb said it was the "sister" car to Johnny's. -Steve On Wed, Dec 2, 2009 at 11:24 AM, Matt Conte <lookoutmcp@msn. com> wrote: Steve, What car do you have? Very cool. Date: Wed, 2 Dec 2009 11:05:46 -0500 Subject: Re: [StockSSDragRacing] OT - "Loose Caboose" Video I've been after good detailed photos of the suspension on these cars for a couple of years now. When I bought mine, it had already been converted to the strut front end and had the rear shock arrangement modified. I still believe that 1 of the 2 "missing" cars may still have the A-arm setup. It's just a matter of finding them to see. I attached a couple pics of the original McCandless roll bar before it was redone in my car. -Steve On Wed, Dec 2, 2009 at 10:35 AM, Matt Conte <lookoutmcp@msn. com> wrote: If I could get good, detailed photos of the chassis and suspension. I can duplicate it in scale. I have very good fabricating skills plus I have built and worked on real race cars for so many years AND I was a chassis and suspension specialist. It all helps me quite a bit in my model building. Decals are a bitch for me because I just cannot afford the best technology to do them. I can. Just ask Wayne. But I cannot do them as nice as I would like. Matt

There's plenty of photos to make the decals. This was car #2 from Herb's shop. -Steve On Tue, Dec 1, 2009 at 9:54 PM, Matt Conte <lookoutmcp@msn. com> wrote: Thanks Wayne.
