RE: [StockSSDragRacing] Richie again

 

Dick Whitman, Pete Hutchinson and Derrick Von Bargen were SRD. SRD built cars for Ray Allen, Dave Strickler, Carmen Rotonda, Paul Blevins, Gordy Rivera and of course Jenkins. That was some of the Pro cars. They also built cars for Larry Kopp, Ed Racis. They did chassis' for Bob Thompson, Bernie Agaman, just to name a few. SRD was bought out by S&W race cars. SRD was beside Jenkin's shop in Malvern, PA.  Dell Jones

Seeing  the  SRD  sticker  on  Richies  car  got  me  thinking,  who  were  the  guys  behind  SRD,and  what  ever  happened  to  SRD?  Who  were  some  of  the  racers  that  ran  their  chassis?  I  remember  a  really  neat  cutaway  drawing  that  appeared  in  some  magazine  depictin  Grumpy's  vega  with  the  SRD  chassis  sometime  around  72  or  73,maybe?  Anyone  have  a  copy  of  that  illustration?  Thanks.  Terry
