What car do you have? Very cool.

I've been after good detailed photos of the suspension on these cars for a couple of years now. When I bought mine, it had already been converted to the strut front end and had the rear shock arrangement modified. I still believe that 1 of the 2 "missing" cars may still have the A-arm setup. It's just a matter of finding them to see.
I attached a couple pics of the original McCandless roll bar before it was redone in my car.

If I could get good, detailed photos of the chassis and suspension. I can duplicate it in scale. I have very good fabricating skills plus I have built and worked on real race cars for so many years AND I was a chassis and suspension specialist. It all helps me quite a bit in my model building. Decals are a bitch for me because I just cannot afford the best technology to do them. I can. Just ask Wayne. But I cannot do them as nice as I would like.

The hardest part would be duplicating the original McCandless interior and A-arm front suspension. There's plenty of photos to make the decals. This was car #2 from Herb's shop.

Thanks Wayne. Johnny is one of my heroes in drag racing. I have been wanting to build a model of that car for years. The hard part is making the decals. Thanks for the video.

Here's a video clip from the early eighties of Georgia's Johnny Labbous making a time run in his Super Gas Omni 024 at my home track, Brainerd Optimist Drag Strip. This was before trans. brakes were used and the tree still had 5 ambers. Herb McCandless built this car for Johnny and Johnny built his own engines. Labbous won several Div.2 championships in Super Gas. He was runner-up at the Gators in 1983 and won the Summer Nationals in 1985.Wayne.
