My late cousin, Jim Rose, lost his right arm and right leg when he was hit by a train when he was nine years old. He grew up with his double handicap, and raced a Camaro during the '70's, and then changed to a Hemi Dart that he call Rambunctious. He died from Lou Gehrig's Disease when he was in his late '40's. To my knowledge, he ran the drag racing circuit from West Virginia to Indianapolis. My question is does anyone have any information on him, or remember seeing him race? When I find it, I will scan a newspaper article that I have on some of his exploits. One thing for certain, if you ever saw a one arm man turn 112 mph in the quarter in a Hemi Dart while steering it with his left elbow, and shifting gears with his left hand; it's doubtful you would ever forget it. Thanks. - Al (aka swamprat)
