Cool ! We went up to the "Rib America" Festival up in indy this year to see them ( Loverboy ). I hadn't seen them in concert since I was in high school back in 80-81??? it was the Get Lucky Tour and they Rocked then. When we saw them come up on stage.....I was kinda aprehensive and thought it might be a "slowed down" version of thier hits ! GRANDPA'S CAN STILL ROCK !! They were damn good too.
Past few years ( 4-6 yrs) I've seen some "once fantastic" groups that have went WAY SOUTH !!! I love Steve Miller Band but was totally disappointed with how much slower the songs were played and singing was off key , plus too much "variations" in the songs to even try to compare to what we hear played on the radio.
Meatloaf was another !! WAY OFF !!
I understand they are getting older.....but I have no complaints with the ones I saw that was right on it !!
AC/DC - "Black Ice Tour" sounded every bit as good as when I saw them for "For Those About To Rock"
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gotta hear thier new CD!!! "God and Guns" and when Johnny got together with Donny VanZant in "VANZANT" they got a few cds out. "Get Right with The Man" and "My Kind of Country"
38 Special- STILL KICKASS ! Saw them with Skynyrd and hoped that Donny and Johnny would've hooked-up on stage to do a couple from thier CDs together....
Def Leppard - saw them last year and they still are on it !
Journey - Fantastic with thier new singer , last time I saw them.....Steve Perry was still in the group!
Styx - 2 months ago up at Ball State University with Kansas, As expected !!!
Kansas - with styx.......It'
Billy Squire - at Rib America Festival , still rock'in great!
Just to mention a few I had to go see of the Old Rockers!
Hated to miss the Brad Paisley concert but it was too close to the Styx/Kansas show.
Grew up listening to country (Mom & Dad) , but around 11 or 12 yrs old I heard "Magical Mystery Tour" hehehe That was it for me and country ! I was a Beatles fan ! from then on I kept picking up more groups. Dr Hook ( Cover of The Rolling Stone) , Molley Hatchet , Marshall Tucker Band ,The Outlaws , Charlie Daniels Band( I love Southern Fried Rock )......Allman Brothers , DOOBIE BROTHERS ! Chicago and so on and on and on hehehe
Heard that Joe Perry of AEROSMITH is talking with "______ Rogers" ( lead singer of Bad Company) to possibly move into Steven Tylers position if he doesn't get his head outta his hind quarters! I can't even imagine what that would sound like ! I like them both...... but I don't think it would be worth the price of a ticket.
well.....gotta go look around a bit an see what's happening elsewhere online !

It was very awesome, Mike Reno let several of us girls get up on stage with him and sing. Plust it was NYE and he came to the after party with us. Much fun was had! Love 80's rock
