Oh yeah!! Supertramp ! another classic group I love listening to.
And "Sailing" rank's right in there with other songs from the likes of Dan Folgerberg , Steely Dan and.....can'
Alotta good memories , "Slow dancing.....
I miss them day's !!!
$6 to $10 general admission tickets , waiting in line for hours, sometimes up to a full day......to hopefully get 1st thru 10th row seat's. For some of rocks greatest !!!
Now day's it seems $60 to $100 just to be in the building ! and forget "FRONT ROW" !
The closest I've been in years was 4th row for the Styx/Kansas show last month and they were $67.50 x 2 tickets + $2.00 x 2 facility charge + 6.75 x 2 "CONVIENIANCE" charge + delivery charge of $3.75 for a whopping total of $156.25 !!!
But....If I had tried to go through a ticket broker for "good seats" it would have been much more than that.
I consider myself fortunate to have gotten seats so close , but way back when........
I'm guessing your alot younger than me ( only guessing ) by a couple of those groups , but the Supertramp and Christopher Cross is is a bit confusing !?!?
I've never gotten into the heavier metal bands like Iron Maiden , but mildly twisted.....
Anyhow .. as they say to each his/her own.
I like the beat and the rythem mostly , and some for thier poetic philosophy as with Jim Morrison and the doors or Roger Watters and Pink Floyd.
My most memmorable show would have to be The Wall with the way they were building on stage all through the concert. brick by brick.
Which relly sucked sitting off to the left lower balcony when they blocked the view.....but the show went on! like listening to the radio ( people down front could see ) and I could see them moving more bricks from off the back of the stage to use to keep building ( roadies).
sorry I couldn't listen to much of the first 3 ya got posted , My niece drives me nuts listening to Korn , Marillyn Manson (I think she's a closet goth ) hehe
I did get her into listening to The Who though !! cause she likes watching C.S.I. . And once she watched Tommy with me she started getting into it .
Thought about having here watch Alices Resturant with me but I think she's loose intrest in that.
Ahhh the good ol day's !
hehehehe
later tater!

> Nah brick, you just caught everyone on a busy night. I can assure you that of any group you can join, this one is by far the most mature, insightful, and entertaining of them all.. really. There is kinship, as well as compassion, and community. Just because no one answers doesn't mean you aren't being read. As for your taste in music, below are a few links that can only give you a very basic idea of how far apart my parameters are for music. Like you I do not like rap or hip hop. Please indulge me, you don't have to hear them all the way through. I like either a soft, smooth sound on any given day, but then the next day, I need to hear hard, crunching, window smashing rock. But then the next day, Beethoven's 9th symphony, or some rimsky/korsikov.
