Just feel like venting after the depressing race on Sunday .
I'm a lifelong Mark Martin fan but also a fan of others as well....
Dale Earnhardt Sr. / Jr. , Stewart , Elliott and a few others.

But back to venting.

Since the race I've been sick of hearing how great J.Johnson was in the race ! Huh???? I don't see it that way. Luck had ALOT to do with him leaving with the lead as big as it is......Fortunate as a matter of fact.
Running in the back all day , staying out of the racing .... "lurking"!

Now , up where the "RACING" was about 10 laps to go it was starting to look like a race!!! My problem with all the "PRAISES" is this.
Yes.....He played it smart laying back in retrospect. But that was when things started to happen up front where the racers were!

(Read this account of lap 184, copied from NASCAR.COM )

Running in the outside lane, two-wide on the backstretch on Lap 184, Newman's No. 39 Chevrolet was bumped from behind by Marcos Ambrose, shot in front of Kevin Harvick, turned backwards and sailed through the air for several hundred feet, landing upside down on Harvick's hood. The car then skidded up the banking in Turn 3, hit the outside wall, and proceeded to do one more twist in the infield grass before coming to a stop on its roof, with Newman hanging by his shoulder belts.

Now.....Imagine if this wreck didn't take place.

All events afterwards would have been "AGAINST" the great job J.J. did.

all those cars running out of gas ( which moved Jimmy up positions ),
They wouldn't have run out.
Mark wouldn't have been in the position he was in when he got taken out. Things "would have" alot different!

Yes....This is fantasy thinking !

But I'm tired of listening to how GREAT a job the 48 car did!
A whole lot of luck was with Jimmy (especially with how close that last wreck came to taking him out!!! ) .
If he had been taken out instead of Mark Martin.....would he still be getting "Praise" on how good a job he did by hiding in the back all day ??? I highly doubt it !

I feel bad for Mark Martin, He deserves a championship more than any other driver out there !! Especially more than "4 in-a-row Johnson"!

I'm not giving up on him though! I'm pulling for him to win it !!
I'm really hoping Jimmy is in the "WRONG PLACE" for the next three races!

Sour grapes I know, just venting out!
I'm wishing Mark all the best from here on out!

Now I'm sure a few (or more) are going to rag on me for this way of thinking , but hey .... I don't care!

I'm for the most deserving driver to have never won a championship!

I really don't want to see Johnson win it again!
