Hard to read the scoop, but I know they were a team, and Sam Brown Dodge was their sponsor. But with both photos being from 1972, I wonder if there were possibly 2 cars, or one is after an update. The action shot is Francis, not Joe for sure. Francis is a big guy, and Joe not.
You know, I have Francis' tel # buried somewhere in the heap in front of me, but I'm not getting into it right now. Maybe tonight, just for the heck of it.

Bob, Current P/S Bike rider Joe DeSantis drove the Sam Brown Dodge A/SR in 1974, I think DeSantis & Crider is painted on the hood scoop. The entry lists that are in the programs I have from the 1973 and 1974 NHRA Springnationals list Crider as the driver in 73' and DeSantis as the driver in 74'. Tom

How about the second photo? Same year, sponsorship, but different car. Who else was sponsored by Sam Brown?

Isn't that Francis Crider? I can't quite make it out. I notice the second photo is a different version of the car, and different names on the cowl.
