Dell, this is very sad. I remember when we talked with him several years ago at Indy. He was very nice and answered my dumb Hemi questions. When I asked him how many man hours it takes to build one from scratch, he said, "I dont know, I'm still not done with this one!", talking about the one in Defranks car. Very humble man who let his engines speak for him.

Received word that Joe Allread passed away. Engine builder for many years. Jr. Stocks and Hemis, He most recently built the Hemis for Jim DeFrank's Hemi car. Great Guy.----Very Sad, Dell
