I've owned two of those, (one i think was a 51 and still have the title) and i never knew about that differance. Just trivia i guess.   shawn

The '48 and earlier Prefects will accept the Anglia clip, in '49 the Prefect got a new clip, cowl section and doors .. the Anglia clip can be fitted to a 49 or newer but a filler panel for the cowl has to be fabricated and the doors lack the character line.
 
Attached are a 48 with an Anglia clip and a 49  which shows the differences ..

Drop the original Prefect front panels (wings, bonnet, etc.,) and go for the Anglia ones - they allegedly bolt straight on with zero or little hassle - Neat ride - street or strip !
