she drove in the old Barbour dodge series I believe it was, one of those up and coming sports cars series and did so-so, Indy cars, nothing even remotely resembling a "stock car" in nascar. She's in for a learning curve I'd say, and a pretty big one but unlike some who've come in at least she has oval experience but still in a car that's considerably lighter, more stable, more down force, more throttle response, faster, better braking, I think a little more maneuverable at least in some cases, basically, I'd say it's going to be a huge difference and with the testing ban, she'd better get practice on a track they can test on because she's going to need it. Same with the F1 driver who's supposedly going to run for MWR next year only he's never even raced on an oval before, but there's another one who better test somewhere extensively, and on more than one or 2 types of track because come race time, they're going to be completely lost with out some sort of testing and I don't mean an hour of practice before the race.

Subject: [NASCAR-Group] AP source: Danica Patrick reaches NASCAR deal
I'm not against Danica Patrick entering NASCAR, but has she ever driven this type of car before? Even an ARCA car? I thought most of her experience was in open wheel cars. Isn't there a major difference in driving skills?
