I was a big Danica fan when she started out, because she showed promise. Unfortunately, she has not grown or improved as a racing driver. I usually refer to her as "Sixth Place Danica", because that seems to be her usual finishing position in IndyCar races. Sixth would be pretty good in your typical NASCAR race, but in IndyCar they might start thirty cars, and sixth there doesn't seem so special. Just about anyone who has had a reasonably successful Formula Ford career in SCCA could do as well as she has, which means that she is not all that special.

In addition, I've found her to be something of a prima donna. Her apparent sense of entitlement (see the dust-up with Milka Duno a year ago, or the constant conflicts with her own AGR teammates) have made her seem very much like a spoiled brat. I'm tired of her. The bloom is off the rose. I now see her for what she really is--a modestly talented public relations goldmine whose only win (at Twin Ring Motegi) was a gas mileage fluke.

It will be a pleasure to watch the Nationwide drivers bounce her off the walls next season.
