2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Five-Door Hatchback Filmed Totally Undisguised!

A bicyclist –no, we didn't make a mistake- captured footage of the all-new 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback while riding with his team from El Golfo to Playa Blanca on the Spanish island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.

It seems that the German premium carmaker was at the island to shoot video and pictures of the luxury compact model for its press material.

The A-Class seen here is the five-door hatchback model, which will be the first body style to be launched onto the market. Mercedes has already confirmed that the 5-door version will make its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show in early March. A sportier looking three-door model will follow, possibly withing the next year.

Volkswagen is no stranger to the art of designing snow sleds as the German carmaker has marketed some nifty pieces modeled after its automobiles over the past few years.

Nissan to Unveil "Revised" 2013MY 370Z at the Chicago Auto Show

We received word today than Nissan will debut a "revised" version of its 370Z sports car series at the upcoming 2012 Chicago Auto Show via an invitation to a press event that will take place next Thursday.

Unfortunately, the invite does not detail the changes on the 2013 model year 370Z so we don't know if it's a full facelift or a minor nip and tuck with very subtle updates here and there.

SPIED: 2013 Land Rover Range Rover Spotted Testing, we get Our First Peek at the Interior

We have another round of spy shots of the all-new 2013 Land Rover Range Rover. While the exterior of the British firm's luxury SUV continues to wear plenty of camouflage, our scoopsters were able to snag the first photos of the Range Rover's interior.

If you pay close attention to the pictures, you'll notice several changes including the repositioned main air-vents that are mounted on the same level as the audio and navigation screen on the current model. Right below we find a massive screen for the infotainment system that takes plenty of real estate on the center stack.

The lower console is also new and seems to be positioned slightly higher than before.

New Range-Topping Nissan Juke Shiro Arrives in the UK

Following an earlier announcement in January, Nissan has released UK pricing of a new top-of-the-range version of the Juke named Shiro, which is Japanese for white. The Shiro replaces the limited edition Kuro, which was named after the Japanese word for black, as the flagship model of the series.

However, don't go looking for any white shades on the outside as the Juke's Shiro name refers to the interior trim bits and more specifically, the center console, door panels and window switch surrounds.

After the presentation of the other three Chrysler Group vehicle customized by Mopar for its 75th anniversary, we bring you the first real life photos of the brand's fourth creation, named the Jeep Compass "True North".

Beginning with the exterior, the Compass has been customized with a matte black finish on the roof, wheel flares, lower fascia, door cladding and black grille, while it also features tinted lights, front and rear brush bars and custom rock rails.

Limited Run Audi R8 GT Spyder Priced at $210,000*, Only 50 Coming to the States

The most exclusive and powerful version of the Audi R8 Spyder has arrived in the States. All in all, the Ingolstadt-based automaker will hand-build 333 examples of the R8 GT Spyder, 50 of which are destined for the U.S., each carrying an MSRP of $210,000 (€163,300), not including a $1,200 destination and delivery fee or local taxes.

What you get for the price of a family house in some states such as Ohio, is a lighter and more powerful version of the R8 V10 Spyder.

Toyota Taxi Driver has Some Really Bad Karma

Did you ever have one of those days that everything seems to go wrong? We don't know how the rest of the day went for the Toyota Camry taxi cab driver seen in the video but in this act everything that could go wrong did.

It all started when he abruptly stopped to let a pedestrian cross the road. We don't know who said what first but the short story is that the pedestrian punched the cab driver a couple of times in the face as he exited the taxi.

However, before he could do anything, his Camry started rolling by itself and hit the SUV that was in front of him! Watch the incident in the video that follows.

Skoda Celebrates Production of its 14-Millionth Vehicle, wants to Sell 1.5 Million a Year by 2018

The Czech auto brand that could has built its 14 millionth vehicle some 107 years after Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement, the founders of Skoda, began producing their first cars in 1905.

The milestone vehicle is a special edition 'Laurin & Klement' Superb that is designated for delivery to a German customer.

"This celebratory car is an impressive expression of our growth strategy," said Skoda chairman Winfried Vahland. "We are expanding at a high speed. Almost two thirds of the 14 million cars built by the company were produced and sold in the past 20 years, four million of which were produced in the past 5 years alone."

Lamborghini Source Allegedly Confirms Plans for an SUV Concept

There's more news coming out today from Lamborghini in concern of the Italian firm's future plans after its CEO Stephan Winkelmann rejected the use of turbocharged engines at least until the end of the decade, earlier this week.

Today, we learned that a senior source at Lamborghini's parent company, Audi, has confirmed reports on the development of a luxury SUV concept that is pegged to make its world premiere at the Beijing motor show in late April.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta goes on Ice to Play Some Hockey

Alfa Romeo's British arm set out to find whether a car could play ice hockey for its latest promo video on the Giulietta compact hatch.

The answer to the question is yes if you're an automaker and don't have a problem renting out an ice skating ring for hours on end and more importantly, if you don't mind the occasional mishap, because as one YouTube commentator pointed out, we find it hard to believe that the Giulietta didn't crash into the wall at around 1 minute and 17 seconds into the video…

Spy Shots: BMW i3 Hatch Captured Out on the Move Again

One of BMW's most innovative projects is slowly taking its production form as evidenced by these fresh scoop photos of the i3 undergoing winter tests in Germany.

Previewed by the i3 concept study, the small hatchback will be the first member of BMW's new "i" sub-brand, which was created for models fitted with alternative drive trains, such as electric motors and hybrids. The i3 will go on sale in 2013 followed shortly after by the i8 hybrid sports coupe.

Jeremy Clarkson Voted as Worst Driving Partner in British Poll

Top Gear may be getting viewers' thumbs up when it comes to watching the show, but one of its hosts, Jeremy Clarkson, got a thumbs down when it came to choosing a celebrity co-driver for a 4x4 adventure, according to new research by Continental Tyres.

The outspoken TV presenter was rated as the worst person to share a 4x4 drive across the Sahara Desert in the poll of 2,000 motorists. Clarkson was followed closely by media persona and former model Katie Price and Prime Minister David Cameron who finished third.

Citroën Puts a Price on the All-New DS5 in the UK

If you live in Britain and have been after the all-new Citroën DS5 since its introduction at the Shanghai Auto Show last April and then at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, you're getting closer as the French brand has announced pricing and is accepting pre-orders, with first deliveries to take place on April 2.

On the road prices start from £22,400 for the entry-level diesel model rising to to £32,200 for the range-topping Hybrid4 DSport.

One of the more innovative looking Citroën's since the 1970s, the DS5 is marketed as an alternative to the more conventional C5 with a higher ground clearance, more refined interior and a shape that blends elements from several categories.

This is the New Volkswagen Golf MK7's MQB Platform

At an event held today at its headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany, Volkswagen revealed its new "Modularer Querbaukasten" or MQB platform that will form the base for the upcoming seventh generation Golf as well as a large number of other mainstream models.

The MQB is by far the most important platform architecture in the group, as it will be used in the next generations of the Volkswagen Polo, Beetle, Golf, Scirocco, Jetta, Tiguan, Touran, Sharan, Passat, and CC, as well as the soon-to-be revealed Audi A3, and all the other derivatives from Seat and Skoda.

A key feature of the platform is its flexibility in terms of wheelbase length, track width, wheel size and seating positions. Other dimensions such as the distance between the pedals to the wheel center are always the same and provide a unified front-end system.

Smart Fortwo gets a Fresh Look for 2012, will Debut at the Geneva Motor Show

The Smart Fortwo city car is entering the 2012 model year with some subtle styling revisions, most of which were previewed on the third-generation ForTwo Electric displayed at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show.

On the outside, the 2012 Fortwo gets a larger radiator grille with an integrated "Smart" logo along with a new bumper design, optionally available horizontally arranged LED daytime driving lights, and modified side skirts and rear aprons.

Acura to Debut Production Versions of New ILX Sedan and RDX at the Chicago Auto Show

Next week's 2012 Chicago Auto Show will play host to the world premiere of the final production versions of Acura's all-new ILX compact sedan and the redesigned RDX crossover, both of which we're displayed in showcar form in Detroit last month.

Volkswagen's New Super Bowl Ad will Make You Miss Little Darth Vader

Admittedly, Volkswagen's advertising agency had some pretty big shoes to fill with its 2012 Super Bowl ad after last year's game day commercial "The Force", which has since garnered some 50 million views on the company's own YouTube channel alone, but we're not so sure it has succeeded with the "The Dog Strikes Back".

The German company aired today the extended 75-second long spot online with the 60-second version of the ad running in the second quarter of the Big Game on February 5.
