Mike,
You hit the nail on the head with that one. That's why I'm in favor of the group being private.

Ken & Bob, I agree with everything you've said. I used to put my name on my pictures and I've seen many of those since, with my name cut off. There will never be a shortage of trashy people. I left here once because of them and I came back because of the many positive people I've met here. Mike
We have over 700 "members" here and how many actually participate in the forum and how many just sign up to snag the photos? It's an easy thing to do.

Ken,
I feel the same way as you but some people are not to be trusted. I hate having to plaster a name on a picture but it has to be done. Even at that, I've found pictures on the Jalopy Journal website where the name has been cropped from the picture. I asked the poster why he did it and he said that he got them from a friend and that's the way they were when he got them. Then some other a__hole jumps me for asking him about it. I love working with pictures but I'm about to the point of not posting anymore.

My own policy is that if I post a pic here, I realize it's vulnerable for other uses. I don't care how anyone on this group uses it for personal use. If you want to make a copy for a friend or someone for their personal use I don't even mind. However, I sure don't want them being loaded on to a CD for general sale. I'm sure most of you feel the same way I do. Just my thoughts. Ken A
