I have been through a couple of power outages, do to snow storms and thunderstorms. Worst was for 5 days in the middle of winter. Only had a fireplace to keep warm. After several other power outages of 1to 3 days I broke down and bought a 3500 watt generator. Big enough to run the furnace to keep us warm and keep the freezer frozen.
