Here it is, February 2nd, 2010. It seems just like a few weeks ago, they
was a givin that trophy to Jimmie Johnson again.. wait a minute... it
was just a few weeks ago. But, here we are, and I decided to go outside
to see if my shadow lurked about, or if it, like so much of the 2009
season of Nascar. was swallowed by the dark and shade of a season that
was like one 36 race long 2000 Daytona 500. So, if the group will allow
me, may I please be the one that breaks the glass and sweeps up the
remnants of 2009's dismal season. I am seeing my shadow this year, and
predicting a better year than before, and I am even going to try and
watch some of these races without the use of DVR!
now.. what can we do to help Sprint Cup... ??? Hmmm....
oh yeah.. I was talking about the Nationwide Series and them cool assed
cars they be runnin over thar. Man, Have you guys seen these things?
The Mustang, Challenger, Impala SS, and the Camry? These look like race
cars. I have been scouring the pages of the Nationwide media days
schedule, and I have save so many pics in this computer it idn't even
funny...
my wall paper, by the way, is an aerial shot of the famous, infamous
North Wilkesboro Speedway. I would love to see them abandon any race in
Kansas or Illinois for a race back at that wicked 3/4 mile bull ring.
anyway... I am looking forward to the data collected from the NWS races
in Daytona next week and then some of the other races from some of the
other tracks as well, such as Cali, Texas, and then the test they I
believe will be doing, or have already done in Atlanta and Talladega.
Those are places that the racing has been like looking at a dead
alligator in a plastic bag. Just, cold, dead, ugly, lifeless. The last
two seasons, I would have rather watched house flies fornicate than to
have to sit through any cookie cutter race with the current generation
of Cup car. I truly believe that me and my shadow are bringing to yous
guys good news this year.
and speaking of good news....
I have yet to post them to Alan, like I promised to do weeks ago, but I
am putting up a special prize this year for the winner of our fantasy
league. Unlike Budweiser, past champs, past winners, past gassers, past
outers, it don't matter who you are.. if ya win, then you win.. and I
will be posting that picture up when I know that more than one or two
people have read my crap here, because I want to see a "what will it
be?" sort of post..
it's time for us to get it together my brothers and sisters of racin,
amen. I declare that the time is high, nay, we should not break bread
together and watch the races.. CAN I GET AN AMEN FROM THE CHOIR!! The
thunder hath come of the mountain, and it is good in the eyes of the
faithful, and it is awesome in the eyes of those not yet baptized, and I
say, YEAH.. amen.
it's a really cool die cast too.. you should see it it's very nice. So..
who's going to ask for that pic? Who's going to be the lucky one to read
the following, and discover their is a bonus prize as well as the die
cast? Hmmm.......
oh, and boss, can we fix it to where we can include pix in our posts
again? Please oh please oh please oh please! I'll give ya my extra Dale
Jr Mountain Dew car from Darlington last year for that priviledge.. .
