Re: [StockSSDragRacing] '65 Plymouth ID

 

Hard to make out, but it looks like a '65 RO51 car, more commonly if inaccurately called an "A990" car due to the '65 Hemi engine designation.
ROs were Plymouths bodies, WOs were Dodges. Looks like "standard" wheelbase as opposed to a 2% alteration, and I would guess a privately entered car. 
Reed Koeppe in Nebraska may know whose car it was.

A FYI for those folks among us (like me) who get caught up trying to ID some of these old race cars.  A while back I posted this picture from York 1969 asking if anyone knew who's Belvedere that was in the background. It's from this site if you have not already seen it.

Today I noticed this picture for sale on EBay. Glorious black & white. I thought it was a SS car at York but now I think it was more likely running in that Xperimental/ Stock class they had that year.
