i think it was banned altogether by @ '75...wierd seeing a ROD SHOP car with shoe polish lettering in the background there...I remember being in the tech line having to cut out numbers before being allowed on the track....

don't recall the use of SHOEPOLISH numbers/class designation much at nhra national events at all in the mid-70's...
