Sorry to hear it, CB. You should definately have some better software going for you. Shop the different ones and compare reviews. Some of the smaller companies now are better than norton and use much less of your computers resources. I got a doozie of a virus a few years ago playing hearts online and Norton pointed out the virus but was unable to contain it. I had to zero out my disc and reload all the software which took hours. I use Kaspersky now and i'm happy with them.

I use antiver free with good luck the last few years...i had norton that i paid for before, but saw no difference with the antiver. it always did a good job catching stuff...the address bar and screen went red...with the do not proceed warning...the pc repair guy removed the password log on ONLY...he didn't scan it with his virus program...i got it home and did a SYSTEM RESTORE...then a scan (as opposed to vice-versa)...and had no problems now, it's running like a top again. I've had pop-up's where they try to sell you antivirus and your browser goes crazy...system restore always gets rid of it...guess I oughta break-down and get the norton again...

Wow!! Been using Webshots for about 8 years now and never had any problems. Have been getting more spam guestbook entries, but that's all.
What kind of an anti-virus are you using CB?
