exactly...that's about what ET all those cars ran here back then too Mike...the sharp guys knew to use GOODYEAR POLYGLASS and pump 'em up to @ 40 psi...there was a guy around here with a supposedly "pure stock" (he held the AHRA recors alot back then) '68 CJ Mustang notchback, it went 12:90's pretty stady on Polyglass tires...guys name was Riemenschnieder...remember that one Ken A ???

CB, thanks. A friend had one of those who raced what I remember used to be called "stricktly" stock at Cecil Co which amounted to pure stock, street driven cars. Sometimes there would be about 10 cars in his class and I recall there being lots of GTX's, 396 Chevelles, a couple AAR Cudas etc and he could run 13.60 bone stock, he won that class rountinely.

Hey MG ...it was an E/SA each time I saw it, the dealership raced the judge for 1 year...from @ 8/69 thru 8/70...it had a RA IV originally..
.he has recently located the engine, along with a RA V engine. He has located and gotten good cooperation from the ex-service manager and a few other retired employees at the dealership in the late '60's...

guy just contacted me today about the RAY FARO pics I have...he bought the car from a salvage dealer in Akron @ 4 years ago and has restored it to the original paint/lettering it had when I saw it as a 15 year old...pretty wild...has 000054 miles on the odometer...
