66 - I am pretty sure 67 had a wrap around tail light. 396/375 was potent and I don't think the 66-67 Chevelles weighed that much - less than a Camaro?

One car I've been looking out for info on for years was at Indy in 1970 when that picture was taken. Robert Steinhauer from Detroit in a '66 Chevy in SSD. Since there were no Vettes in SS in 1970, I think it must be a 396 Chevelle. NHRA had factored the 396/375 through the roof and in 1970, '66 Chevelles actually did race in SSD against the Hurst AMX's, hemi Cudas and copo Camaros as goofy as that seems. Anyone have any insight into this possibly being a different model of Chevy? Or anyone actually remember what Mr Steinhauer was driving? Mike
