Geely Drops Five New Models and One Concept Car at Shanghai Auto Show 2011

This past week saw many new production and concept cars making their world premiere at the increasingly important from a global point view, Shanghai Auto 2011. One of the most prominent brands of the show is Geely Auto, the Chinese automaker and owner of Volvo Cars, which displayed 37 vehicles along with its latest R&D achievements.

Headlining the Chinese automaker's presence at the show is a hybrid concept vehicle called the McCAR and five new models that the company says will soon enter production and include the Gleagle GC6, Gleagle GX6, Gleagle GS-CC Coupe, Emgrand EC6-RV and Englon SC7-RV. Ohio Man Offers Pot to Pay Taxi Fare, But that's Only Half the Story...

Just when you think you've seen and heard it all, there's always someone who will still surprise you, one way or the other. In this case, that special someone is an Ohio man who wanted to pay his cab fare with pot. But that's only half the story…

According to a report from Fox8 Cleveland, the incident took place in Alliance, Ohio when 27-year old Nicholas Barker took a cab ride from Empire Taxi driver, Steve Rooza. "I picked him up and took him to his home but the doors were locked and he couldn't get in. He asked me if I would take him to another location, to which I explained to him was a separate price," said cab driver Rooza.

Toyota Expects to Resume Normal Production of all Models in November or December

The aftershocks from the March 11 earthquake and tsunami continue to affect Toyota Motor Corporation as the automaker said on Friday that it will take several months before normal production of all its models resume to normal. According to the company announcement, global production will begin to ramp up in July in Japan and August in North America, with all models back to normal production in November or December 2011.
