Alan,
That car was actually built in my neck of the woods.  It was raced with a 327 and an auto by Richard James.  I never knew what happened to the car until a few years ago.

The Jericos are clutchless.  Didn't you watch the video of Jim Schaechter's Chevy II that I posted?  Left leg didn't move after leaving the line.  They have been this way for years.  I was told that they check them by trying to move the car with it in gear.  If it doesn't move, then they consider it a clutch type trans.

Bob, It doesn't sound like it there does it? I also heard that he was already running a clutchless trans. Just Rumors, I don't know if NHRA has checked that. Anyway they sure are flying and it is unreal.  Dell

After reading the statement below from Jr, it doesn't sound like he wants the cars factored seperately.

That is Unbelievable. David Barton said that is 999 Horsepower. Ray said 1,000. But who is counting? The Westcotts did not show and I hear Jr. is ticked. He is wanting weight put on the automatics. Just race.. Dell

8.273 Jim Daniels at the Dutch 159.72 mph Yes Jim just blew the et away. His 60ft was 1.22 with his rear wheels . Nitro Joe said it would go a 8.275 so Nitros prediction was real close
