Good morning Mike,
You can ignore Mr. "armpit". He is a kook (crazy) in the NASCAR usenet
newsgroup I participate in. As you know, sometimes I will crosspost
messages back and forth in order to foster more insight and
discussion. There is nothing unethical or inappropriate about the
practice. Crossposting is a common method of social networking. As
well, you can crosspost your replies to any forum you choose.
Regarding any spam, spammers scan for email addresses within Yahoo
homepages more easily than they do usenet groups. Crossposting does
not create an increase in spam.
This armpit guy has been harassing me for years. His only motivation
is to make me look bad. Because I ignore him in the usenet group, he
joined our Yahoo group and tried to harass me that way. I blocked his
messages and revoked his posting privileges, which made him even more
mad. He's just plain angry. You've seen the type.
Thanks, Alan

>Dear Nascar-group posters,
>
>It's important that you know that Alan Jones, the administrator of the Yahoo Nascar group to which all of you post, has been re-posting your group messages, along with your email addresses, to the Usenet discussion group rec.autos.sport.
>
>I am notifying you of this because it may explain an increase in spam email, since many spammers cull Usenet groups for valid email addresses. It is also unethical and inappropriate to post the email addresses of others without their knowledge or consent.
>
>If you have any doubts of my claim, a simple google search of your own email address should provide all the proof you need.

>Regards,
