2013 Dodge Dart Compact Sedan: First Official Shots of the Interior

Last week, the Chrysler Group gave us our first look at the exterior details of the brand-new 2013 Dodge Dart compact sedan with the promise of teasing the interior on December 13.

True to its word, the Detroit automaker published a fresh batch of photos today giving us a sneak peek into the interior of the new Dart saloon, which will officially break cover at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in the second week of January.

The futuristic looking instrument binnacle houses an available 7-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) customizable cluster display with a light surround between the analog tachometer and fuel gauge.

On the upper side of the center console, we find the Chrysler Group's UConnect multimedia system sporting an 8.4-inch touchscreen that Dodge says is the largest of its kind in the compact segment.

The New 2013 BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe Detailed on Film

After the first pictures and details on BMW's new 6-Series Gran Coupe followed by our supplementary report on the M Sport Package and the live configurator, we're wrapping up our coverage on the Bavarian firm's answer to the Mercedes-Benz CLS with the official videos that include static and driving footage.

The most important things you should know about the Gran Coupe is that it rides on a 113mm (4.4-in.) longer wheelbase than the 6-Series Coupe to help make more legroom for the rear passengers, while the engine lineup remains the same and currently includes two turbocharged petrols, a straight-six and a V8, plus a six-cylinder diesel unit.

Naked Hummer Limo Thief Attempts to Run Away from the Police but is Caught by Dog [Video]

And just when you thought you've seen and heard it all, you run across another crazy story. According to ITN News, this latest bizarre incident took place in southern California on Saturday night when a naked man reportedly stole a Hummer stretch limousine at gunpoint.

After the vehicle's chauffeur notified the police, officers on the ground with the help of a police helicopter from above were somehow able to quickly spot the stolen Hummer (as it turns out, a stretch Hummer isn't as inconspicuous as the thief may have thought…) and began pursuit.

Holden Rumored to Decide on the Future of the Commodore by the End of December

Once a production hub, Australia's motoring industry is now facing the prospect of losing one of its most acclaimed model series, the Holden Commodore (and apparently, its Caprice derivatives) after the upcoming redesign, which is scheduled for 2013.

While production of the 2013 Commodore VF will endure at least until 2017, The Sydney Morning Herald (via its Drive car site) is reporting today that Holden chairman and managing director Mike Devereux confirmed that the brand will decide on its local manufacturing future beyond 2018 before the end of December.

A Chinese Man Builds an Eco-Friendly Hummer from Scratch for $630

Chinese regulators may have had little affection for the Hummer brand when they shunned the deal between General Motors and Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co, Ltd. in early 2010, but there's at least one man in the world's most populous country that has a lot love left for the maker of the H1.

His name is Qu Zhibo and he is from the city of Zhigong in China's Hainan province. For three years, Zhibo worked on a special project to develop the most eco-friendly Hummer you will ever lay eyes upon.

Anderson Germany Unleashes the Audi A8 Venom Edition

Even though the A8 is not as popular as the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class in the German tuning scene, Audi's offering in the luxury limousine sector definitely has its fans.

The latest creation to hit the streets is named the Audi A8 Venom Edition and it comes courtesy of Anderson Germany.

The first thing you'll notice about the car is the eye-catching satin gunmetal gray with the front grill, all emblems, plus the door handles and window surrounds finished in gloss black. The dark theme continues with the tinted windows and smoked lights.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster Brochure Scans Leak onto the Web

It's no secret that Mercedes-Benz has almost completed work on the next iteration of its SL roadster, as the German company itself recently published several technical details along with official shots of the car, albeit still wrapped up in camouflage.

However, if these leaked scanned images of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL brochure turn out to be true – and from what we can tell, they seem genuine, you can get your first gander at Stuttgart new roadster model in the gallery after the jump.

As some of you readers rightly pointed out in our post on the upcoming 2013 Acura ILX compact sedan, the TSX is not Acura's cheapest offering in North America. This dazzling title goes to the Canadian market CSX.

A Crazy High-Speed Police Chase in Russia Caught on Film

Some criminals just refuse to give up, no matter how bad the situation gets. In this video that we came across today, a team of young car thieves in Russia are trying to escape from the police in a stolen, small station wagon model.

Several local police officers pursuit the car and even manage to deploy what looks like a spike strip that punctured the stolen vehicle's wheels. However, these thieves aren't ready to surrender as they continue their dangerous ride. But all things come to an end sooner or later… Watch the chase in the videos after the jump.

Lexus Teases New Concept Car for 2012 Detroit Motor Show – What Could it be?

'Tis the day for the concept announcements. Following Acura's and Honda's lead, Lexus also revealed its plans to debut a brand new concept model at next month's 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

And while Lexus was kind enough to give us a cropped teaser image, the Japanese automaker did not provide a lot of information on the study other than that it has been designed by Calty, the company's design studio in Newport Beach, California, and that it showcases a "new design direction embraced by Lexus".

New Acura ILX Compact Sedan to be Built at Honda's Plant in Indiana, will Start Well Under $30,000

While Acura is still holding back on the photos of its newly announced ILX concept study that will be displayed at the Detroit Show in January, Honda's premium division revealed that the production version of the compact sedan that will follow would be built at the firm's Manufacturing of Indiana LLC (HMIN).

"Building this all-new Acura vehicle as the exclusive global source is a big responsibility for our associates," said HMIN President Jun Nishimoto. "I am very proud of what our Indiana team has accomplished in such a short time, and we have great confidence in our ability to produce a world-class luxury vehicle that exceeds the expectations of Acura customers."

New Scion FR-S Filmed Drifting on the Track and at the Cars & Coffee Meet in California

A lot of people are eager to get some time behind the steering wheel of one of the triples that was born from the joint venture between Toyota and Subaru, but in the meantime, the Scion FR-S is making several appearances on the track as well as on the streets.

We stumbled upon two new videos featuring the Scion-badged version of the Toyota 86, the most interesting of which shows the rear-wheel drive coupe drifting on the track.

The second clip is from a recent presentation of the FR-S at a Cars and Coffee meeting in Irvine, California. What's special about this FR-S is that it is equipped with a Greddy sports exhaust system. You can check both videos for yourself right after the break.

Instead, it's one of those bizarre creations we occasionally find over at the crazy world of Craigslist.

Much like the Saab 900S Convertible turned into a Cadillac of some sorts that we showed you last week, this 1999 Honda Civic Coupe is supposed to resemble a BMW.

BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe Configurator Goes Live Plus First Photos of M Sport Package

It didn't take long for BMW to launch an online configurator for its brand-new 6-Series Gran Coupe, which was unveiled this past weekend ahead of its first public appearance that is scheduled to take place at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next March, for those fans who just have to build their own.

For now, the configurator offers users some basic options to pick and choose from such as the exterior and interior colors, the decorative trims and alloy wheel designs

We also get our first look at the M Sport Package that will be available from the launch of the four-door version of the 6-Series next summer.

New Bentley Continental V8 Range Revealed, will Debut at the Detroit Motor Show

Bentley today unveiled its new Continental V8 range powered by the VW Group's new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The new powerplant will power both the Continental GT coupe and its GTC convertible sibling, which will receive their world debut at the Detroit Motor Show on January 9.

This is the first time Bentley has put a V8 engine under the hood of the Continental: since 2003, when the first generation of the grand touring coupe entered production, the sole engine choice was the twin turbocharged 6.0-liter W12, which remains the flagship of the Continental engine range.

Acura Confirms NSX Concept, an All-New ILX Compact Sports Sedan and 2013 RDX Crossover for Detroit Show

There's a lot of news coming out from Honda's headquarters today. Following the announcement on the Accord Concept study that will preview the ninth-generation of Honda's mid-size model series, the Japanese automaker's luxury division Acura also confirmed its plans for the rapidly approaching 2012 Detroit Motor Show.

The star of Acura's lineup will be a concept version of the next generation NSX super car which in the company's own words, "represents the styling direction for the next generation of Acura's super sports car".

Honda to Reveal New Accord Coupe Concept at the Detroit Motor Show

Honda announced on Monday that it is planning the world premiere of an all-new Accord Coupe concept study at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, which takes place in Detroit from January 10 to 23.

The Japanese automaker noted that the study would preview the styling direction of the next-generation Accord that will be sold in North American in both four-door sedan and two-door coupe body styles.
