 What happened? A few years ago I had mailed him some pics of his Dart before he bought it. I believe it was the former Jack Thomas car that was later sold to Gene Barnhart in Md. My Dad raced againist that car so I grew up around it at our nearby strips. I'm sorry to hear of his passing, he was a real nice guy.

I had the opportunity to meet him through my models. He saw my altered
wheelbase cars and called me one night years ago. In 1996 he invited me to
do a model display at his gathering, Dragfest, before the US Nationals. The
display I put on at Dragfest gave me the chance to meet some great people
and drivers. Ronnie Sox went crazy over my Jake King Tbolt. I hadn't been
to the Nats for years, but by going, I was able to get a ticket for the next
days events. Got me hooked going to races again. Ordered several shirts
from him over the years. He really knew a lot about those early drag racing
days. He will be missed. Ken A
