Nisstech,

Over the years I've found your advice to be right on the money, but I
question when "pad slap" became an unacceptable repair. I'll grant
you personal experience is not a definitive technical standard, but
I've replaced pads on my cars since the '77 Chevy (thats 24 different
cars including the Chevy, 2 Oldsmobiles, 2 Fords, a Mazda and numerous
Nissans and Hondas), never once resurfaced a rotor and have never
experienced any issues requiring "doing it again" because of the
rotors. I always change the pads before they wear to the point where
they would gouge the rotors, and have always use OEM replacement pads.

That being said, I have occasionally found stuck slider pins that
needed to be extracted, cleaned up and lubed (or replaced), and that
is something that can't be ignored or you will have to "do it again"
very soon.

Is anybody using an Android with the bluetooth in their Altima? I have
a 2010 2.5S. My Palm Pre worked as a phone, but the phonebook functions
were abysmal.

My phone contract is nearly up, and I'm leaning towards an Android, but
don't want to get burned like last time.

Thanks,
JimR

Nissan seems to be taking advantage of the fact they have recovered
quicker than other automakers who were hit by the March 11th
earthquake in Japan.

In the commercials, they go on about how their dealerships have better
inventory than other competitors (like Honda and Toyota)

Nissan's VP of Sales and Marketing Al Catignettis says Nissan is
faring better than others and they have in most cases a 54-day
supply.

It seems they ads, especially the Car Carrier one is a bit of a cheap
shot.

What do you think?
