What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what you upload on the web is there for the entire world to see.

And that's one lesson learned the hard way for Vacheh Margoussian, 21, and Artin Yazidjian, 22, both of which were employed as a valet and a tire technician respectively at the Pacific BMW dealership in Los Angeles when they allegedly took a brand-new 1 M Coupe for a joyride and uploaded a video on Youtube.

Now, both men have not only lost their jobs but are also facing misdemeanor charges filed by the LA County district attorney's office.

McLaren Denies Rumors about a Honda Engine Deal in 2014

Posted: 25 Nov 2011 03:33 PM PST

The image of a white and red McLaren, usually with a yellow-green helmet signaling that the man sitting in the cockpit was none other than Ayrton Senna, is one that remains etched in F1 fans' minds many years after his demise in 1994. Powering the McLaren of the late three-time world champion was a Honda engine.

Last weekend, German magazine Auto Motor und Sport reported that McLaren was in talks with Honda to rekindle their 1988-1992 collaboration, which yielded four constructor championships, from 2014 onwards, when the rules mandate the change to 1.6-liter turbocharged engines.

Posted: 25 Nov 2011 01:19 PM PST

Thanksgiving Turkeys: Corvette C5 Crashes Into Corvette C6 During Street Race

Posted: 25 Nov 2011 11:35 AM PST

As you can see, we're back to our regular posting schedule after our mini Thanksgiving break. And yes, for those of you asking, we had a great time which is more than we can say about these two Thanksgiving turkeys that spent a good part of Thursday signing papers and trying to explain how they managed to get into each others face – or so to speak.

So here's how it went down: at a stop light in The Woodlands, a latest generation silver-colored Corvette C6 and a previous-gen gray Corvette C5 are getting ready to play Dumb and Dumber the I'm faster than you game.

The two drivers rev their V8 powerplants and push the pedal to the metal as soon as the green light comes on. Under the dramatic sounds produced by a total of 16-cylinders and 32 teeth chewing bubble gum (that would be the person filming the Corvettes in the blue car…), the two men begin the race which lasts only about 9 seconds as the driver of the C5 loses control and smashed into the C6….

McLaren Gives us an Insight into its New Production Center with Video and Mega Gallery

Posted: 25 Nov 2011 10:23 AM PST

Venturing into the automotive business takes a lot more than building some prototypes, launching a new model and then waiting for the orders to come in. Even more so if you intend to compete on the top level and establish yourself as a supercar manufacturer.

This is why McLaren Automotive didn't only build its first supercar after the iconic F1 of the '90s, but also invested close to £50 million (€58.2 or US$77.3 million) in developing a brand-new, state-of-the-art factory – or rather, as the company names it, the McLaren Production Center (MPC).

Now That's Giffy: Citroën goes Artsy with DS5 Cinemagraphs

Posted: 25 Nov 2011 08:15 AM PST

If you're into photography, then you've probably heard about cinemagraphs. If you haven't, then please allow us a moment to explain.

Cinemgraphs are still images that contain living elements within themselves. They are created by uniting a series of pictures or video frames into an animated GIF file resulting in a motionless picture in which a minor looped animation occurs.

In Citroën's case, the French automaker's British arm commissioned automotive photographer James Lipman and design agency TIZA Creative to produce a series of cinemagraphs to showcase the new DS5's interior and exterior.

Startech Shows Off New Range Rover Evoque at Essen Motor Show

Posted: 25 Nov 2011 06:39 AM PST

Making its European debut at this week's Essen Motor Show is the Startech tuning program for the new Range Rover Evoque. Startech, which is a sub-division of the Brabus brand, first revealed its take on the British crossover model at the Dubai International Motor Show earlier this month.

Rather than improve its off-road capabilities, the German tuning company says that all of the available upgrades for the three- and five-door variants of the Evoque were developed to make the crossover more capable on the road where it will spend if not all, most of its time.

The product lineup includes a new front apron, a roof wing and a rear apron that houses a diffuser and the reshaped quad tail pipes. The crossover model's sportier stance is further enhanced with suspension kit that lowers the ride height by up to 30mm (1.2-inches) and custom-tailored alloy wheels offered in various color combos and 20- or 22-inch diameters.
