Then we strongly suggest that you move on and avoid viewing the video presentation of the new 560-horsepower BMW M5 sports saloon from Hungarian TV Show Totalcar and its presenter who could easily be mistaken for Hugh Jackman's long-lost young brother from the x-Men series.

Since the launch of the MP4-12C, McLaren has made it pretty much clear that it plans to establish itself as a serious sports carmaker and gain a full range of models that will cover the entire supercar spectrum.

Now it seems that the British car manufacturer is moving up its schedule, as according to a report from British magazine Autocar, it will launch a successor to the iconic F1 of the 1990s in 2012 – that's one year earlier than expected. Perhaps the reason is to coincide with the original F1's 20-year anniversary.

Agreed; we've all seen drivers run a red light either by mistake or because they don't give a damn about the own or other drivers' safety. But seriously, have you ever seen someone do anything like this? The only thing missing from the clip is the Benny Hill background music...

Enzo Ferrari might have not known it at the time, but when he famously dismissed Feruccio Lamborghini as a "tractor manufacturer", he planted the seed for the creation of not just a single beautiful vehicle, but a whole class of supercars.

The Lamborghini Miura was launched in 1966 and stunned everyone not only with its design, but also with its specifications. It featured independent suspension and disc brakes all around and more importantly, it was propelled by a mid-engined V12 that enabled the Miura to reach a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).

Marchionne Gives North America Priority Over Europe for Alfa Romeo's Future Plans

Posted: 18 Oct 2011 09:02 AM PDT

Fiat-Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, announced that he will appoint a boss for the Alfa Romeo brand exclusively for the North American market. This is because the Italian carmaker's return to the US after a 17-year absence will be his top priority, relegating Europe, in which Alfa's sales are disappointing, to second place.

"We are going to target the US market first and work our way back to Europe", Marchionne said in an interview with Autonews Europe. "We have run market tests on the desirability of the Alfa brand in the US and, not withstanding our long absence from the market it's still one of the best brands in the world. Video: Lexus IS-F Goes Under the Crusher in California for Street Racing? Not So Fast…

Posted: 18 Oct 2011 08:04 AM PDT

A video showing an if not brand new, a not so old Lexus IS-F V8-powered sports saloon being crushed to death is making the internet rounds today.

The person that uploaded the specific clip says that local police officers in the state of California crushed the vehicle after they confiscated it for illegal racing. We looked around on the web, but we couldn't find any information regarding this claim.

Sounds like a great story but before you rush to accept the Youtube poster's version of the incident, you may want to know that we discovered the same exact video uploaded in December of 2010, but there's no mention of the car being confiscated.

Furthermore, we also found another recent clip of a Hyundai Genesis sedan being destroyed by the same crusher (notice the background and the blue color on the metal structure).

Edo Competition Turns the Porsche Panamera S into the "HellBoy"

Posted: 18 Oct 2011 05:55 AM PDT

You may remember that Edo Competition's most recent Porsche Panamera model was the 750HP Turbo-based "Moby Dick". Now, the German tuning house has set its eyes on the less powerful Panamera S with the presentation of a new model called "HellBoy"(talk about an odd choice of names...).

Described by Edo Competition as coming "straight from hell", the Panamera S HellBoy has been updated in the both the styling and performance divisions.

The tuning firms starts out with the Porsche's 4.8-liter V8 engine by adding a less restrictive custom sport exhaust system and recalibrating the ECU. As a result, output rises from 400HP and 500Nm to 465HP and 550Nm (406 lb-ft), which enables the sports saloon to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 4.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 305 km/h (190mph).
