Five Axis Takes the 2013 GS 350 F Sport to the Next Level

If weren't overly impressed with the factory 2013 Lexus GS 350 F Sport we showed you earlier today, then perhaps you may want to take a look at what Five Axis has prepared for the SEMA Show next week.

Troy Sumitomo's tuning company has taken the new GS 350 with the F Sport package to the next level with a custom wide bodykit that beefs up the wheel arches and adds several new components such as the side skirts and wraparound rear spoiler.

Fake Videos of the Day: Tank Crashes Aston Martin & Mad Man Cuts Off Parking Meter

As you probably should already know by now, not everything you see and read on Youtube is real. One recent example was a video showing a new Lexus IS F being crushed, and which many websites rushed to adopt the poster's unfounded claims that it was destroyed for street racing by California authorities.

Today, we stumbled upon two more clips, one allegedly showing a man cutting off a parking meter with a saw after receiving a ticket, and another with an Abrams tank destroying an Aston Martin coupe.

It’s Official: New Jersey will Host a Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2013

Korean GP organizers may be suffering huge losses after only two years of hosting a Formula 1 race and are already asking for a reduction in Bernie Ecclestone's fees, but on this side of the world, things are quite different.

In August, we reported that the mayors of Weehawken and West New York in New Jersey were negotiating with investors led by former YES Network executive Leo Hindery, Jr., about the possibility of organizing a Formula 1 street race in New Jersey right along the Hudson River.

Lexus CT 200h: The Low Rider SEMA Edition

Next up on our list of Lexus project cars for the upcoming 2011 Specialty Equipment Market Association show is the CT 200h by Five Axis.

The aftermarket firm tricked out the hybrid hatchback with a custom paint job and a wide-body conversion. A lowered suspension and a set of 19-inch forged alloy wheels paired with 235/40ZR19 front and rear Yokohama tires lend the CT200 h a more aggressive stance.

Lexus IS 350C by VIP Auto Salon with Trick Paint Job and a Supercharger Set for SEMA

Looking to offer enthusiasts more customization options, Lexus will bring several project cars to next week's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, including an IS 350C prepared in cooperation with VIP Auto Salon.

The Japanese car specialist started with a unique Chameleon paint job that changes color when viewed from different angles. The hardtop convertible from Lexus also gains a Seibon carbon fiber hood, an aero kit comprising of a front lip spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, boot lid wing, and headlamp trims.

Honda to Debut Production Versions of Pure-Electric Fit and 2012 CR-V in Los Angeles

The 2012 CR-V won't be the only brand-new production model from Honda to make its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16th as the Japanese automaker announced that the 2013 Fit EV will also be displayed in final form.

Honda had presented a thinly disguised concept of the Fit EV exactly a year ago at the 2010 edition of the LA Show. The production variant of the pure-electric Fit will be closely modeled after last year's study and is expected to keep its lithium-ion battery and coaxial electric motor.

Pinstriping is an art form that combines precision skill with design, and one that is very commonly found in the world of automobiles and motorcycles.

Like many other arts, it's a talent you either have or you don't. This particular pinstriper, who was filmed while working on a series production Royal Enfield motorcycle gas tank at the company's factory in India, certainly has the talent.

Mopar Builds Dodge Durango Tow Hook Concept for SEMA Show

The annual Specialty Equipment Market Association show opens its doors next week and Dodge will be there with several proposals including this Durango concept named Tow Hook that was designed by Mopar Underground.

The most striking feature of the Durango Tow Hook is the muscle-car inspired color scheme that combines a four-coat orange paint work for the body with satin-black roof, fascia accents and hood graphics, plus blacked-out 22-inch forged alloy wheels paired with Pirelli tires.

In Russia, Saving a Lexus ES300 Means Drowning it… [Video]

A rescue attempt to save a Lexus ES300 that was on the verge of sinking into a lake in Russia had the opposite effect when the tow straps holding the car snapped off leading the Japanese model into the water.

We can't confirm this, but the person who uploaded the video on Youtube says that the Lexus sedan was parked too close to the water and the driver couldn't get out.

New 2013 Lexus GS with F Sport Package to Bow at SEMA Show [27 Photos & Video]

As we reported a couple of months back, the brand new 2013 GS 350 is the next Lexus model to be offered with the brand's F-Sport package that bundles a host of aero parts with an upgraded chassis and various interior goods.

The new 2013 GS 350 F SPORT will make its first public appearance in the States at the 2011 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show that takes place in Las Vegas from November 1 to 4.

On the outside, the F-Sport is festooned with a comprehensive aero kit that includes a beefed-up front bumper with larger air vents, a modified rear bumper with a diffuser, a boot lip spoiler, unique mesh grille inserts and special badging.

BMW’s M Division wants to Develop a Mercedes SLS AMG Rival

BMW boasts quite an extensive range of models, from the base 1-Series hatchback to the flagship M variants and everything in between. Hatchbacks, coupes, saloons, estates, hybrids, SUVs, you name it and there is at least one model with the red and blue badge on it. Recently, even a diesel-powered X6 M was spotted making the rounds at the Nordschleife.

The M division's engineers, though, think that there's something missing. In a recent interview, the F10 M5's project leader Max Ahme revealed that the company is currently considering a pure supercar – something it lacked since the Lamborghini-built M1 that was produced between 1978 and 1981.

Fiat Tunes Into the New 500 for the SEMA Show

It's been roughly two weeks since Cadillac dropped the first teaser video of the 2013 ATS at the Nürburgring and now GM has the released the first full installment of its web series dedicated to the development of the premium compact sedan at the so-called "Green Hell".

Kia Prices 2012 Rio Sedan from $14,150*, $200 Lower than the Hatchback

About a month after announcing pricing for the new 2012 Rio five-door hatchback, Kia today released prices for its four-door sedan sibling that starts from $13,400 or *$14,150 if you include a $750 destination and handling fee, for the base model with a manual gearbox. That's $200 less than the equivalent 5-door variant.

If you prefer to not to change gears manually, the automatic transmission version of the base Rio sedan begins at $15,250.

Nissan to Show New Yorkers NV200 Taxi of Tomorrow in November

Back in May this year, Michael R. Bloomberg announced that the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) selected the Nissan NV200 minivan as the exclusive cab of New York City for the next 10 years, beginning in late 2013.

Now, the public as well as taxi owners will be able to see and feel the Nissan NV200 Taxi in person almost a year before it enters service, at the Nissan Taxi of Tomorrow Design Expo, which takes place from November 1 to 5 on the pedestrian plaza across from the Flatiron building at Broadway and Fifth Avenue.

Mazda to Introduce New Clean Diesel Models in Japan Starting with the CX-5

Up until now and despite their popularity in other regions especially in Europe, diesel vehicles have yet to win Japanese consumers. This is mainly due to the costs associated with the NOx emission-reducing technologies that are necessary for diesel engines to meet the country's stringent exhaust gas regulations.

Mazda says it has overcome this problem with its brand-new SKYACTIV-D 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine that made its debut on the CX-5 crossover.

Nissan Shows the Juke-R in the Flesh for the First Time

Nissan surprised an unwary audience at an unrelated crossover media launch in Malaga, Spain, with the reveal of the first finished prototype of the Juke-R concept in the metal.

The Japanese company plans to build two examples of the Juke-R in left- and right-hand drive. The prototype shown in Spain was the left-hand drive model.

Tokyo Motor Show: New Mazda Takeri Concept Previews Next Mazda6

Mazda fans may be unhappy about the RX-8's demise, but the Hiroshima-based automaker has a history of displaying well received concepts that eventually enter production, like the RX-Evolve and the Minagi.

The company's latest concept is the Takeri and it will be unveiled at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show on November 30. The Takeri is a mid-size sedan that effectively gives us an early glimpse at the Mazda6's replacement, which is expected to arrive in the market in the first half of 2013.
